Hello friends! Miss Elana Rogers here (www.elanarogers.com). This site is intended to dialogue my progress in my battle with breast cancer (diagnosed June 4, 2009). Personally I don’t like to say “battle” because I feel like I’ve already won. But I’ve found this to be the most useful means to communicate with everyone at the same time. Convenient for both you and me!

Please feel free to browse around and check out my personal posts, articles, sample of my music, photos, and leave comments. Again, the purpose of this is to share with friends and family so that they (you) can keep tabs on my progress. Let’s all hope this will run by quickly and be done by the Fall. You bet your @$$ I’ll be making up for it next summer!

I also have a Health Fund donate button. Someone made this suggestion and I figured it wouldn’t hurt. So here’s the skinny… As it turns out, insurance doesn’t cover all the bills. And holy #@% some of the bills now rolling in are $100 each! I’m afraid this isn’t going to end anytime soon. Gah! =(

That said, the “health fund” provides you the option to assist me through this process. Your contribution will go directly into my paypal account into my health fund where would pull from to help cover the inevitable build-up of co-pays and prescriptions. If you do happen to contribute, I’ll be most grateful!! For any monies I do not use for my healthcare, I plan to donate to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation – the most highly rated breast cancer organization in the U.S.

So, whew kids! A new journey… here we go!
